Compass Construction awarded contract for new Hospice facility located in Brooksville, FL

CAPE CORAL, FL (March 2008) –Compass Construction, Inc. has started construction on a new 27,477 S.F. patient care facility for Hernando Pasco Hospice. When complete it will provide 24 resident care rooms, and have support areas including 8 administrative offices, spacious lobby, full service kitchen, 2 dining rooms, a community meeting room and 3 laundry rooms. The exterior will be tastefully landscaped and the grounds will offer fountains, screened sitting areas and 2 gazebos.

Located just north of Tampa, this new facility will serve the residents of Hernando and Pasco County, as well as those in the surrounding areas.

The Compass team in charge of this project includes Doug Oliver as Project Manager, Angela Maynard as Project Administrator, and Joe Brackett as the on site Project Superintendent.

Redeemer Lutheran Church construction underway.

CAPE CORAL, FL (January 2008) – Compass Construction announces that construction of Redeemer Lutheran church’s new worship facility is underway.

This 13,644 SF project is located on 8.58 acres of land on Winkler Avenue east of Veronica Shoemaker Blvd. The one story masonry structure will house worship space, classrooms, administrative offices, a nursery, and a café. Seating capacity of the sanctuary will be 259 and the classrooms will hold 140.

Extensive site work is currently in process, including site clearing and tree removal and digging of a new lake located on wetlands. Estimated cost for this project is $2.7 million.

Phase II Clubhouse renovations have started at The Landings.

CAPE CORAL, FL (January 2008) –Compass Construction, Inc. has started renovation work on the Helm Club, located at The Landings on McGregor Blvd. in South Fort Myers.

Demolition work is underway and renovation work on this existing clubhouse will follow. Improvements include a fully upgraded commercial kitchen, new bar lounge with dance floor, club dining and private dining rooms, meeting rooms, new men’s and women’s locker rooms, a fitness center and renovated golf and pro shops.

In addition, outdoor enhancements will include expanded outdoor food service and new stadium seating at the tennis courts.

This project is phase II of a multi-phase project at the Landings. Phase I renovations to the Wheelhouse at the marina are expected to be complete next month. Phase III will involve an addition to the administration offices.

Total cost for all 3 phases is projected at $6.9 million.

Compass awarded City of Fort Myers Park project.

CAPE CORAL, FL (January 2008) –Compass Construction, Inc. has been selected by The City of Fort Myers to build Phase I of Trailhead Park, their newest recreation facility.

The Project will break ground in early February, and consists of 2.72 acres of heavily wooded land that will be cleared to make room for 3 covered picnic pavilions, restroom facilities, a children’s playground area with play equipment, an exercise area, lighted parking areas, and a shell walking path that winds along the edge of the existing lake.

Located near Veronica Shoemaker Blvd. and Winkler Avenue, the facility will be complete and ready for use by the public in July of this year.
